Destiny Hero Dreadmaster?

Is Destiny Hero Dreadmaster hard to find in the aster phoenix duelist pack.

Destiny Hero Dreadmaster?
Dude, don't worry, Dreadmaster is only a rare in DPAP.

If you buy a couple packs you will most likely pick him.

If you buy a box then you will get a couple copies of him.

If you are building a d-hero deck I don't reccomend using Dreadmaster because of the uncertain points and the summoning requirements. For me It takes too long to bring him out. You should side deck him and clock tower prison and see how well he does in your deck.

Good Luck,

Zane Duelist Packs and cyberdarks help!!!!!!!!?

ok, so i need cyberdark monsters. i need 2 of each so 6 in total. i bought about 20-25 packs and only got 1 cyberdark monster.

what should i do? i need all cyberdarks + 1 cyberdark dragon for about $20 since i dont want to waste my money. should i continue buying the packs or just buy them online?

if online, then where? ive heard of inmint and ideal 808 but they are never in stock.

and please dont suggest ebay unless you know a good deal on ebay.

also the same goes for aster phoenix packs. should i buy the packs or is it cheaper online? considering the duelist packs (zane pack) are ripoffs......

Zane Duelist Packs and cyberdarks help!!!!!!!!?
buy them single, theyre harder to pull in dp04 than cdip, wierd, i know, but true
Reply:Honestly you have a better chance buying the cyberdarks online, or even better check at your local mall for a comic store where they may be selling single cards. Some of the card will cost you around $30 but is better than paying for 20 packs. Trust me i just bought 10 packs of "Tactical Evolution" and it proved worthless. You want a decent online store, try bbtoystore.com and good luck, or jsut go to your local gaming store
Reply:honesty it would be alot easier to trade for the cyberdarks but you can get all 3 cyberdarks from the packs because their commons but cyberdark dragon is ultra rare so you have to trade for that and since u want 6 cyberdarks u should get 2 cyberdark dragons and put in a future fusion and a overload fusion
Reply:get thee cyberdrark impact a few more times and see what happens, then if not try an online store like ebay or amazon, but if not there try to find a friend or someone who has it to trade.
Reply:dont buy duelist packs

Really nee d some help..if you know your stuff please read.?

I have sebhorreic dermatitis in the crease of my nose..I had it in 5th grade when my dermatologist gave me Ultravate to put on it..Well turns out the ultravate was to strong for my skin, and cause my ENTIRE nose to be red, and butterflys out to my cheeks. Some days it's barely pink and others its scaly and nasty; but it's always constantly oily too. I have many blackheads, but I can't pop them because my nose will flare up it's so sensitive. I've been to 5 different derms, had different aster procedures, but no matter how many derms I goto they are just ***** and look at my nose for about 5 seconds before giving me another medicine, not to mention the all diagnos different problems.

Could anyone out there help me..tell me what's wrong with my nose or how to get rid of it..thanks.

Really nee d some help..if you know your stuff please read.?
I'm not really sure that the diagnosis is correct. I would check with others doctors. I thought about SLE (Lupus). If it really was Dermatitis, a 1% hydrocortisone cream applied two or three times a day should be enough.

Ethiopian food in austin.....any good places?

So I googled for ethiopian food and it looks like Aster's Ethiopian is the only place in austin . I havent been there yet...has anyone been there before?...are there any other places around?

Ethiopian food in austin.....any good places?
Aster's is the only Ethiopian place in Austin these days, sadly. Thankfully, it's pretty good! I eat there about once every two weeks and haven't been disappointed yet (I haven't had any of their meat dishes, although I hear those are good as well).

Yugioh DESTINY HEROES?

how many do you think i'll get if i buy 8 aster phoenix boosters do you think i'll get enough to build a deck?

Yugioh DESTINY HEROES?
You would get quiet a few destiny hero monsters which is a good amount. There is also a low chance that you would not get a destiny hero malicious which is the Ultra Rare in the Aster Pack.

Good Luck.

You should add me into your contacts.
Reply:be careful with destiny heroes their kinda hard to use. i used d.heroes but im switching spellcasters because they flow better
Reply:why not just buy a starter deck and as i remmber booter packs come with 8 cards 8*8=64 u just need 40 to start a deck i think
Reply:It depends on if you want a pure d-hero deck or if you want to be able to add in non-themed support. For a pure deck, I would reccomend 10-15 packs, but if you are planning to use non-themed support, 8 should be plenty.

Manhatten Subway System?

Can anyone give me some tips on how to work the subway system? I know little things like, the 6 train stops at Aster place.

How is it organized?

Manhatten Subway System?
A little difficult, but I will try.

The #7 train is the only # train that goes crosstown (on 42nd St).

The L train only runs between Brooklyn %26amp; Manhattan.

The G train only runs between Brooklyn %26amp; Queens.

The A, C, D trains run on the West Side.

The R runs kind of down the middle of the island of Manhattan.

The "green lines" (#'s 4,5,6 trains) are on the East Side.

The "red" lines (#'s 1,2,3 trains) are on the West Side.

The major hubs %26amp; points of transfer are 42nd Street, Union Square, Fulton Street, West 4th Street, Columbus Circle.

Most of the trains now have automated speakers in the cars telling you what the train is, what the next stop is and where you can transfer and to what train.
Reply:There are many resources that will offer maps and directions.

One of my favorites is www.hopstop.com. It's very accurate, but make sure that you search for alternate routes too because the trains aren't always running, or are re-routed for various reasons. Always check the postings at the subway station before crossing the turnstiles for delays and schedule changes.

To "work" the system, you first have to find a station!

You can usually spot one from the street by looking for round, colored lamp posts, "M" signs, and "Subway" signs (in Times Square, they're flashing neon. Hard to miss.)

There are signs above the entry ways that indicate the direction, times, and names of the trains servicing that station

There are usually two entrances, one for going "uptown" or "downtown" or in any opposing directions (ie. "to Queens" vs "to Manhattan") If you end up on the "wrong side of the tracks", go back to street level and cross to the other side.

Once you're in the station, by a Single Ride or Metro Card for your fare from the kiosks using touch screens. A single is $2 for one-way and is good for up to 2 hours. Metro cards can be bought in almost any amount. There are limits to the amount of change you can receive, so have a variety of bills or pay with credit or debit. Some Metro cards can be swiped more than once if your party is more than one and you only want to handle one card. Monthly cards cannot be double-swiped. Sometimes you have to wait 15 minutes before re-entering the same station with the same card (for example, if you entered, realized you were on the wrong track, and tried to enter again.) If you run into problems, talk to a guard or station manager. Be sure to pick up your change!

Read the signs BEFORE going through the turnstiles to make sure you're headed in the right direction. When in doubt, Ask or refer to a wall map. Beware of persons OFFERING directions without your asking for them. They want a tip.

Swipe the card and walk through the turnstiles when it beeps.

Follow the signs and read the numbers on the front and sides of the train. Different trains may service the same station. If it's not your train, wait, and it should come. If you're not sure what stop to get off or when it's coming, there are posted routes on the pillars next to the tracks. You may have to walk around and look behind some to find them, but they're usually there. The conductors do announce the stops but you can't always hear them and not all trains have LCD postings of the stop inside the car. The wall mosaics on the station walls tell you what station it is, and other signs will indicate available transfers. Keep your eyes and ears open and the system can actually work for you.

Never hold the doors, and stand behind the yellow line (people do and will push you or move you out of their way. They don't care where you end up as long as it's not in their way... meaning you could end up on the tracks if you're not careful.)

Happy Travels.

This flower's name is from the Greek word for star?
Aster
Reply:aster
Reply:Aster (syn. Diplopappus Cass.) is a genus of flowering plants in the family Asteraceae. The genus once contained nearly 600 species in Eurasia and North America, but after morphologic and molecular research on the genus during the 1990's, it was decided that the North American species are better treated in a series of other genera. After this split there are roughly 180 species within the genus, all but one being confined to Eurasia. The name Aster comes from the Ancient Greek word astron, meaning "star", arriving through the Latin word astrum with the same meaning, referring to the shape of the flower head. Many species and a variety of hybrids and varieties are popular as garden plants because of their attractive and colourful flowers. Aster species are used as food plants by the larvae of a number of Lepidoptera species - see list of Lepidoptera which feed on Aster. Asters can grow in all hardiness zones.

Seed starters..............?

I planted various flowers in a seed starter thing about a week ago. Is it normal not to see any growth? I planted Asters, Cosmos, snap dragons, morning glories, %26amp; forget me nots. I also planted some thyme %26amp; lavender. I know very little about gardening.

Seed starters..............?
Different seed have different germination times. I assume your seed starter kit has a plastic cover of some sort. If it doesn't, you may want to cover it with a plastic bag or another kind of plastic to hold in the moisture. Keep soil moist but not soaking. Keep it in a warm, not hot place. Be patient and don't be surprised if some seed germinate and some don't. I always plant at least twice as many seeds as I want plants because they don't always germinate. And some seedlings might die. Once most the seed are up, take the plastic off. If you have extra plants maybe a neighbor or friend would like them. Good luck!
Reply:Read the packet and see how many days it takes to germinate. If you haven't seen anything within 14 days then it's most likely not going to grow.
Reply:Are they in a sunny south window? Warmth is required for germination. Cosmos, asters usually sprout within a week. Cold treat the lavender.

A great way to start seeds is to place them on a damp paper towel, place that in a zip type plastic bag and put it in a sunny window. Have fun!

Symbolism of Flowers?

I am looking for the symbolism of the Aster flower. I don't need the definition of the word Aster b/c that is all I can find. I just want to know what the symbolism is.

Symbolism of Flowers?
Also:

Gender: Feminine

Usage: Greek Mythology (Latinized)

Latinized form of the Greek Αστραια (Astraia), derived from Greek αστηρ (aster) meaning "star". Astraea was a Greek goddess of justice. After wickedness took root in the world she left the earth and became the constellation Virgo.
Reply:"afterthought"
Reply:Aster flower symbolises Afterthought.

Its basically a "Thought" which you have after saying or thinking of something. For an example when people write a letter to someone, sometimes they have an afterthought and end their letter with, P.S

What does this poem mean "the apology"???

THINK me not unkind and rude

That I walk alone in grove and glen;

I go to the god of the wood

To fetch his word to men.

Tax not my sloth that I

Fold my arms beside the brook;

Each cloud that floated in the sky

Writes a letter in my book.

Chide me not, laborious band,

For the idle flowers I brought;

Every aster in my hand

Goes home loaded with a thought.

There was never mystery

But't is figured in the flowers;

Was never secret history

But birds tell it in the bowers.

One harvest from thy field

Homeward brought the oxen strong;

A second crop thine acres yield,

Which I gather in a song.

What does this poem mean "the apology"???
to me , it sounds like the person is apologizing for wandering off contemplating deep thoughts, while others are toiling away at physical labor,,,,,, he/she is saying that each thing they see/hear/touch, is bringing revelations to them,,,, it seems like the person has been doing this for a long time,,,,, threw two harvests

Yugioh Do YOU THINK I'LL GET?

If i buy 8 aster phoenix boosters do you think i'll get most of the cards from the set or not?

And why?

Yugioh Do YOU THINK I'LL GET?
8chances... i doubt u'll get all the cards... chances of gettin the rarest card in Aster's Booster is 1-24... an his rarest cards are Destiny Draw and Destiny Hero Malicious... u might get one if ur lucky... but chances are still slim... only way to get them all is to buy all the Packs, but hey u might get lucky... its jus a 1-24 chance of gettin either of Aster's Rarest Cards
Reply:No. If you only buy 8 booster packs of the aster packs then you'll probably get all of the commons but not many of the others. You probably won't get one of the Ultras unless your lucky and you may get 1-2 supers. The ratio on the back of the boosters says that you'll get one Ultra Rare card for every 24 booster packs you buy. IF you are only buying eight then the chances of you getting one are small but it's still possible. Good Luck.

I've seen people open entire boxes and then find no Ultras, but then I saw someone else open a Aster box and get three Ultras. It's all about luck and what cards you want to put in your D-Hero Deck.
Reply:no if you buy 8 you would not you would have to buy 80 to most of the cards in it

I guess that no one wants to do your homework for you.

Try doing a search for the name followed by the word nursery. Go to sites that look like they sell the plant and copy the name.

Or the easy way is to go to www.wikipedia.org. They usually have the Latin names spelled correctly.

I don't want it to look too slutty. I just wanted your opinion on the tank. (Our school dress code allows it)

Is this appropriate to wear to school?
That is soooo pretty!

I would definitely wear that!

Pit bulls! This is not a question but a statement.?

I'm getting tried of hear and reading how bad pit bulls are. The breed is sweet, loving nad wonderful with kids. They have a better temperment than most family dogs. They cause less than 2% of dog bites in the US, ASPCA figures.

they work as police dogs, rescue dogs campanians for handicapped. They are used at retirment homes to help depression. People like Helen Keller, Fred ASter, Presdent T. Roosevelt, Mickael J. Fox own these dogs. They were used in movies, and the Little Resacals.

Pit bulls! This is not a question but a statement.?
Again, totally true! The problem is a few bad people fighting their dogs or letting them run loose to maul a child. The media (and people in general) love a good horror story. Instead, how about calling your local papers and tv stations and ask them to do a story about how great your dogs are. Show them video tape of pit bulls as trained companions, service dogs and therapy dogs. Explain that these are powerful dogs that need early training and firm leadership. Good luck!
Reply:all the pits ive come in contact with are great loving dogs...its the bad seeds you have to look for...but all people no matter who/what you are can "make" a bad dog Report It

Reply:They are dangerous dogs and I think make a really stupid choice for a pet Report It

Reply:prcoley,

that is the type of ignorance us Pittie lovers are always talking about. Report It

Reply:I had a Pit Bull female once and she absolutely loved kids. She, did not however, love the Chihuahua next door. I do think that they get a bad rep.
Reply:i 110% agree, i have had my pitbull, Tank, for almost 10 years and he is such a baby!! he has Never even barked at anyone, only animals outside at night. i have 2 kids and people have always told me i shouldnt have tank around them, but he was raised around kids, he is scared of the kids mostly! you cant base opinions on dogs so generally, it is all in how they are trained/raised. i wouldnt tempt fate with any dog around my kids, but not just because of the breed.

plus-it's kinda nice that he is "scary" to some people so when my husband is away i feel safer

i just watched pitbullproblem.tk, so sad to look at the hurt dogs, but so nice to see the family pictures, makes me want to go home and hug mine!! thanks
Reply:OK, You are getting tired of people running down pit bulls. I am getting tired of people telling me that they are so wonderful and that if there are any problems that it is owner.

My own pit bull was absolutely the 'sweetest dog in the world', until he attacked and nearly killed my 3 year old daughter. (unprovoked)

My friend and neighbor's pit bull attacked her and mauled her leg, just because she told him "No, go lay down" when he was begging at the table.

My friend's pit bull attacked him while he was feeding him.

I work at a boarding/day care kennel. We have only 3 pit bull clients. None of them can be allowed to play with the other dogs, as they are always looking for a fight. These dogs are owned by the outstanding citizens of our town, who care enough to put them in day care while they work.

ALL of these were responsible owners, with well trained "sweet" pit bulls.

My friends run a pit bull rescue and show UKC pit bull's and poodles. They came home from a trip to the grocer's to find 3 poodles dead, and 1 wounded. The pit bulls were all bloody and happy.

Yes, many pit bulls are and stay wonderful pets. But many of them do not... I will never trust another.

Just look at the asker's questions for a couple of days. So many are about a dog aggressive pit bull, and how to make them not kill the other dogs, or tear the fence down trying to get at people and dogs, etc.
Reply:If you read about the orgins of the pit bull, you will find out they are originally bred to be fighters, but to not bite their owners, like other breeds who are bred to herd, hunt, ect. Even when puppies go to a great family, their "wiring" is still there and might not be able to change. If people get pits, I would recommend you get it from a reputable breeder where there is good blood lines. THEN make sure they go to dog training where they learn to deal with their aggression. The sites you provided are good links to show the responsibility of a pit.
Reply:Sure, your right. But so is everyone that has been attacked, know someone who was, or lost a child due to an attack. There is no denying these dogs have a tendency to bite/attack, I don't care how many sweet ones you have owned. They were bred for this purpose, and they continue to live up to their name. No, it is not fair, and it is not their fault, but its the truth of the matter and there is no getting around it with accounts of sweet, loving pets as instances. You obviously don't have children. IF you did, there would be no question. Tell me, you have heard all the horror stories, if you had a sweet little 3 year old girl that trusted you completely and looked to you to supply her every need, would you have her around your sweet pitbull? Just the remote chance of an attack should be foremost in your mind. Knowing this, you would have to choose. We all love our dogs dearly, but they are dogs, not human.
Reply:true but they can get aggressive really easily
Reply:you are so right pit bulls are very nice...it all depends on the owner %26amp; how they train it to be. i think it would be very enjoying to have a pit bull at home...maybe i should get one
Reply:Maybe, but i saw my sister bitten and my dog killed by a pitbull. I know other dogs could do the same thing, but the jaw strength of a pitbull makes it a formidable killer compared to other dogs.
Reply:Hello, I am a dog trainer, breeder, and also a dog groomer (whew). I have trained many pit bulls and they can be wonderful, intelligent, sweet, and loving family dogs. They can also be very unpredictable, aggressive, and dangerous. I have also researched the breed because as it's so popular I really need to have info on hand because so many people own this breed and I need to "know" what I'm talking about. My own personal opinion on the pitbull (and this is also what I advise clients trying to make a decision on a breed) is that there are SO many breeds and mixed breeds in the world to select from. Why would someone select one of the most controversial breeds out there? And then get upset that people are afraid/disdainful of their breed? Most of the stories are true - the good AND the bad. Why play Russian roulette?
Reply:You are right of coarse. Pits have been given a bad rap and it's all because of peoples ignorance. If they were as racist about humans as they are being about dogs we would be back to slavery in a day. It's trash.
Reply:I agree! My pitbull loves kids. He's a very protective and alert. If you raise it the wrong way then of course it would be a threat.
Reply:I couldn't agree with you more, Iam a dog trainer, and have helped train many Pitts and have enjoyed them very much they so LOVABLE! Actually my least favorite breed of dog is the min-pin. Most of the ones I have encountered were lovable and all but they are a funny breed. and you are right about dog bite stats but did you know that most dog bites occur from small breed dogs! Thank for the statement!
Reply:I've worked for 7 diff. vets. ;it's ALWAYS the OWNER'S fault if the dog grows up to be vicious -never the DOGS!!! I've had Dobermans, boxers, Heinz 57s, and right now I have a Dalmation and a 220 lb. English Mastiff. Some of these so called "vicious" breeds are, by nature, the kindest, most loyal pets ever! Dogs become vicious out of FEAR!!! It ALL depends on how they are raised %26amp; treated. My Mastiff (a breed known to be the BEST kids' dogs) is a fear biter. It has taken 3 years to help her and approx. 80-90 stitches. Myself, my daughter, %26amp; one of my sons. If she feels cornered, you've had it. To remember who %26amp; how I got her from scarred ME mentally!!! It's not the dogs that need to be put down. :)
Reply:TOTALLY TRUE!!! I have always believe it is the owner not the dog when i see those stories.
Reply:The problem with pit bulls is the fact that aggressive temperaments are continuing to be bred into the lines by idiots that want to make a quick buck off fighting them. The true pit bulls bred by responsible breeders have much steadier more predictable temperaments.

The problem with that is that the irresponsible breeders flood the market with dogs genetically inclined to be aggressive(pick up any paper, its full of "pit bull puppies, $50") The people that fight their dogs breed in incredible numbers, keep a few for fighting and sell or abandon the remaining puppies. Those puppies end up in unsuspecting homes with owners that aren't aware of the genetic makeup of their new family member.

That's why its always best to go to a responsible breeder with tons of references, allows tours of their kennels and as uncomfortable as it may seem at the time you know you are in the presence of a good breeder when you feel like you are being interrogated. A responsible breeder will not sell to just anyone that seems ok and has the cash. Above all, a good breeder will not have an ad in the paper and you generally will not be able to pay less than $500. (pet store puppies should also be avoided like the plague.)
Reply:In Australia Pitbulls are in the process of being banned - due to the number and frequency of attacks. Children, elderly, pets, innocent passers by....

My friend had a Pitbull - they said it was very friendly etc. I NEVER trusted it. When it had puppies it ate all but one which it killed and tore to shreds! Its OWN puppies!

My father was walking my poodle/spaniel cross when he was set upon by two pitbulls. He fought them off and yelled for help - thankfully he and my dog were uninjured - but if it had been a child the outcome would be MUCH different - he now walks with a walking stick to protect himself.

Sure other dogs attack too - it is their upbringing that controls it to some extent - but pitbulls and staffordshire bull terriors are known for their aggression and being purely nuts! Pitbulls were BRED for their aggression to be fighting dogs in Pits (hence their name!)

We had a German Shepherd x Staffie who was just nuts! We trained her, and she was extreamely gentle and pleasant around us - but VERY aggressive around anyone else - her eyes would glaze over and she would attack at no provication - but would never attack us. We did keep her - and ensured she never escaped, and always wore a muzzle when she went for walks "just in case" though she never went for anyone off our territory (would only attack if someone was on our property even if it was a friend). We would NEVER have trusted her around children.

In the same way - anyone who has a Pitbull should muzzle them when they are off their yard, (even if they are believed to be placid) and always keep them on a lead - NO dog should be allowed to roam off lead when in public.

Do new england asters have petioles?

No, no petioles on these leaves.

The following website describes the leaves as "clasping the stem" and shows a close-up picture of the leaves -- clearly no petioles.

Is there anyone in UK (or outside) who can send me seeds of Mesembryanthemum crystallinum (Ice Plant)?

I am more than willing to trade and have many seeds to offer including annuals (Chrysanths, Asters, Purslane, Portulaca, Tobacco, Coleus) and Perennials (Echinacea, Linaria, Lychnis).

Is there anyone in UK (or outside) who can send me seeds of Mesembryanthemum crystallinum (Ice Plant)?
I suppose you've already tried the online seed providers-- I don't know about restrictions on mailing seeds to the UK so that may be a redundant observation.

However, if you haven't tried some US companies-- Park Seed is good and there are many more. I learned recently that many of the plant companies are interrelated-- to cut down on costs I expect-- so an item I ordered from a company in Iowa was sent from Ohio. Wouldn't be so bad if the plant had lived.....

OH-- try wal-mart on line-- what you want is a packet of seeds-- right?

good luck

Dandelions: Flowers, Weeds, or Both?

Someone asked me if Dandelions were a flower and up until now I always thought they were a weed. However, I decided to go look it up on Wikipedia and Wikipedia says that Dandelions are a flowering ray flower in the Asteraceae family (a taxon of dicotyledonous flowering plants), which includes the aster, daisy, and sunflower. Then again, I also read that some Asteraceae are economically important in the sense that they are considered noxious weeds (unwanted plants), like Dandelions for example.

Dandelions: Flowers, Weeds, or Both?
Dandelion (Taraxacum officinale) is a common meadow herb of the Asteraceae or sunflower family. There are about 100 species of dandelion, and all are beneficial. This sun-loving beauty is a native of Greece, naturalized in temperate regions throughout the world, and familiar to nearly everyone. The perennial dandelion grows freely wherever it can find a bit of earth and a place in the sun. Dandelion’s nutritive and medicinal qualities have been known for centuries.
Reply:Dandelions are a bit of both.
Reply:very interestion
Reply:Dandelions are considered a weed because they don't have any manners, they are invasive and don't stay away from other important plantings. Some folks consider dandelions a food source in the spring (eating the tender new leaves like spinach).I guess it depends on whether your hungry, laid back about lawn care(meaning that's the only flowers you intend to see in your lawn) or an avid Gardner trying to keep the pesky things out of your landscape!
Reply:Im just going to go against the grain here...

I consider a Dandelion an herb... you can use every part of the plant to some sort of an advantage... you can dry the roots and ground them up for a coffee substitue... the milky white sap apparently can help get rid of warts... and the leaves are edible and full of vitamins and minerals...
Reply:I love dandelions. The young greens can be eaten and have alot of nutrients. The flowers are also edible but I dont know how good they taste but my Bearded Dragons %26amp; Uromastyx lizards love them! Nice free source of food for them. (Only pick them in areas that have not been treated with chemicals)
Reply:Weeds...obnoxious weeds!!!
Reply:they are absolutely a weed.
Reply:Both.
Reply:A weed is an unwanted plant. If you want dandelions, they're flowers. If not, weeds.

in sucession of plants on a salt marsh which is most likely to be closest to the sea?

a. limonium vulgare

b. festuca rubra

c. aster tripolium

d. salicornia europea

e. phragmites australis

thankyou :)

An important feature of northern salt marshes is ?
From your list I cannot say what an important feature of northern salt marshes are, but if you mean northern hemisphere it is not mangrove, and its probably not earthworms. Salt marshes associated with estuaries are highly productive, salt content within what?, this can fluctuate daily. Regular pattern of drainage channels, again perhaps or perhaps not. If this is an assignment read the associated text.

With regard to plant succession I would say Salicornia europea if pushed, the rest occur further up a salt marsh though with the exception of festuca sp with occurs high up salt marshes and phragmites which occurs in brackish/freshwater, the rest can survive immersion in salt water for limited periods though it depends on salinity and area, so it could equally be the reed if you are basing your question on a particular stretch of an estuary.

Again if this is an assignment read the information you have first.

CHEERS

H ow many of you wish the TV show Cheers was still running in regular broadcasting—not just reruns? (1982-1993)

E very week a group of locals met to drink and have fun at the bar where “Everybody Knows Your Name.”

R etired baseball player and recovering alcoholic, Sam Malone, was the owner of the bar. Diane Chambers was his girlfriend/waitress.

E nsemble cast included: Norm Peterson, an unemployed accountant, who spent most of his time at Cheers to avoid his wife, while running up a huge bar tab;

C arla Tortelli, a bitter sharp-tongued waitress, who had eight children; Cliff Clavin, a self-appointed expert on everything--a thirty-something mailman who still lived with his mother; Coach Pantusso, Sam’s former baseball coach, the original bartender who later died; and the naive farm boy, Woody Boyd, who replaced him.

O ften in need of a little analysis himself was psychiatrist, Dr. Frasier Crane. Dr. Lilith Crane, an extremely cold psychiatrist, was his wife.

M iss Rebecca Howe became Sam’s new girlfriend after Diane Chambers left to become a writer.

E van Drake and Robin Colcord were Rebecca’s boyfriends.

S haring their experiences and lives with each other, while drinking or working at the bar was the basis of each show.

T he action on the show usually took place in the bar area, but often moved to Sam’s office, or the poolroom.

H eated rivalry between Cheers and Gary’s Old Towne Tavern usually depicted a bet/ competition that devolved into complex practical jokes.

E ddie LeBec, an ice hockey player, was Carla’s second husband, and sleazy Nick Tortelli was her first husband. Eddie later ended up being killed by a Zamboni skating-rink machine.

S cripts often centered on a variety of controversial social issues such as alcoholism, homosexuality, and adultery

U pscale restaurant called Melville’s was located above the bar.

P rominent recurring themes included feminism. Diane was a vocal feminist, but Sam was the epitome of everything she hated: a womanizer and a male chauvinist. Their relationship led Diane to several verbal attacks on Sam's promiscuity,

E arly episodes generally followed Sam’s antics with various women. As the show progressed, Sam settled down into a monogamous lifestyle.

R ebecca was a stereotypical ambitious and gold-digging woman, seeking relationships with her superiors to gain promotions or raises.

B ill Medley of the Righteous Brothers was a guest on the show, playing himself.

O ther celebrities that guest starred included: Kevin McHale, Mike Ditka, Alex Trebek, Johnny Carson, John Kerry, Michael Dukakis, Harry Connick, Jr., Emma Thompson, and John Cleese.

W ill they or won’t they sexual tension was a recurrent theme between Sam and Diane, and later Rebecca.

L ast show aired May 20, 1993. (Emmy awards total 26 and Golden Globes total six.)

What's your claim to fame?

I think a family's history and what brought them to settle where they are now is really interesting.

What's yours / where are you?

My grandmother is a direct descendent of a huge family in Germany at the time of the Holocaust. Her great something or other invented the first cure for TB.

My great great aunt owned the Aster Mines in Cali.

My great great great uncle by marriage invented the steam boat.

The rest of my family is spread throughout Canada and Scotland.

What's your claim to fame?
My great great great grandfather was one of the survivors of the Monitor.

Captain Valentine Haas was one of the founders of the first Lutheran Church in America. He served in the War of 1812.

My uncle repaired and flew a helicopter for President Eisenhower.

I helped start an award for Childrens and Young Adult Science Fiction.

I am Level 7 on YA!
Reply:Wow thats interesting. In some way I am related to Perry.
Reply:Green thumb, I haven't got a claim to fame, just that I speak as I find if you don't like that's tough, I gave you a thumbs up mate because I think your cool.
Reply:I'm related to President Woodrow Wilson on my mom' s side (he's a cousin not sure how far back though). And my dad's adoptive mom was a cousin of Woody Guthrie though I guess that doesn't really count.

That's all I know.
Reply:Since this is a genealogy question I think I will have a little fun with it. OK

My claims to fame? Mmmmmm, let me see. I'm 62 years old? I have 10 children, 5 boys and 5 girls? I'm still married to the same gal that I met on a blind date to a Sadie Hawkins day dance? I now have 27 grandchilden? I taught myself how to read the old German handwriting (and I can't speak German) and have traced my wife's father's line back 15 generations to 1559 in Germany? I have taught a dozen other people hqw to read German handwriting?

Mmmmm. My father flew 32 combat missions in a B-17 before he was shot down and taken prisoner by the Germans? At the same time my wife's uncle flew fighter aircraft for the German Luftwaffe. He was killed over Italy?

Really not much claim to fame.

How about this! My great great grandfather (many many greats) was Ephraim the son of Joseph who was sold into Egypt, Ephraim's mother was Asenath. Oh yes, Joseph was a grandson of Abraham who was a descendant of Noah. Which, since Noah was also your ancestor I can say my greatest claim to fame is that I am also your cousin. In fact since everyone alive now on this planet (unless there are some extra-terrestials we are unaware of) is a descendent of Noah, the farthest apart we can be is 52nd cousins.

Why does police brutality exists?

A couple of years ago, my brother and I were at an indie rock concert. Now my brother is a great guy, never even gotten a traffic ticket or broken any other law in his life. Since it was a small club, my brother and I went outside with some other people to cool off. Aster a couple moments, this police officer came up, hoisted my brother up by the collar and told him to get off "his side walk". This was unprovoked and let a nasty bruise on my brother's neck. So we called the police department next day and we were told we were lucky "we were not arrested!" What the hell? Why does this covering up for such behavior happen or even happen in the first place?

Why does police brutality exists?
I've had so many instance like this happen to me and it's a lot of the reason I detest the police. I'm not a criminal so I shouldn't be treated like one.

I'm very well aquainted with the police captain in my town and he was talking about a seminar he went to not long ago. They were told to treat everyone with respect but to have a plan to kill them. I understand being prepared for the worst but I think most cops take this mentality to the extreme. I also think most cops become cops because of personal issues growing up.
Reply:The more brutal a socety is, the more brutal its police becomes. It's an eye for an eye.
Reply:After 27 years of law enforcement, I would like to hear the other side of the story before drawing a conclusion on this question. Its possible the officer had been dealing with others who were causing problems, prior to your brother's arrival, and he was presumed to be part of that group. It is also possible the officer was a total AH and should have been disciplined for his behavior. As I said, we only have your account of the incident and no input from the officer involved. There is no valid excuse for rude, obnoxious, or violent behavior by either party. This was an unfortunate incident and the supervisor should have looked into it further to determine if corrective action was justified.
Reply:Just proves people can't handle power. Everyone should be equal.
Reply:every profession has its "assholes"
Reply:You have some people who have been abused as a kid, and becoming a policeman is their way of getting even, under the guise of authority. Cowards hiding behind a badge to do evil.
Reply:I think that the answer to your question is this, there are a

lot of violent criminals out there, and in some circumstances

like during an arrest, people can get hurt if they resist, if you

go to clubs and they are dealing with a situation and you get

in the way, or are out there while they are busy, you should

get up and move on, instead of having them, that is the Police

move you while they are busy you and he could have moved

on yourself and this may not have happened...............................

You are lucky you were not arrested, you should not be there

if they are busy with something, leave if you had left they may

not have been suspicious of you or have been forced to move

you on.........................................

Put something on the bruise and do not deliberately antagonise

the Police again, they are quite within their rights to tell you to

move on, or move you on and out of their way when they are

working..................................
Reply:This sorry piece of **** was probably butt raped by his father, no I take that back,he wanted his father to butt rape him , and now knowing that was wrong is now punishing the public for it. Reply:I think part of it is uncontrolable egos. They also let the power go to their heads and think they can do no wrong. Then they wonder why people don't show them more respect.
Reply:Gosh darn cops!!! Always keeping us safe, Maybe your brother was about to step on a land mine, or possibly get hit by a crazy driver. I'll bet ya the cop had nothing better to do than to hang out outside an indie rock concert harrassing fresh air seekers. He probably didn't even give you any kind of verbal cue as to "move along, giant crowd"

Question about a "mutant" columbine?

A friend has a perennial flower growing in his yard that appears to be a columbine in every way...foilage, flower stem, bloom time...but the flowers are spiky little mauve-colored balls! They look nothing like a traditional columbine but instead are more aster-like but without the center. Can anyone help us identify this plant? Any help will be greatly appreciated, as we have searched extensively and still can't identify it! Thank you!

Corepsis tripteris?

For months I have been searching for the name of a certain perennial plant. It stands about 3-4 ft. And blooms late summer til frost. It has clusters of smaller yellow daisy-like flowers at the top. It is not a bushy plant. I believe it to be in the aster family. Right now it stands about 2 ft. high. It is a very eye catching plant. no local greenhouse can help me. Can you?

Corepsis tripteris?
There is a plant called coreopsis with small yellow flowers. It's a perennial. You can probably get it from Home Depot.
Reply:Could be a threadleaf coreopsis, look up the varieties of "Zagreb" which is a darker yellow and "Moonbeam" which is a ligher pale yellow. Both varieties grow in a mound-shape varying 1 to 2 feet tall by region.

What are good teqniques in running the 40 yard dash?
you want to keep your center of balance as close to the ground without impeding your stride as you start off... this is because it makes it easier to accelerate you your top speed faster. As you gain speed slowly convert your form till you're sprinting normally (back strait). Also, pay attention to form and leg turnover. Arms are also very important, the faster your arms go, the faster your legs go.

How do I tell my sister in-law at family gatherings to stops making comments to my daughter?

Last 2 holidays at my mother in-laws house, my bother in-law's wife has made comments to my 10 year old daughter about being tall and skinny. On Easter, she was pregnant so I didn't want to show my redneck side! She told my little nephew to give my daughter a hug because she was alittle boney and during Thanksgiving she started to tell my daughter bye and told her to come give her a hug, skinny-mini. My husband did hear her the 2nd time she made comment. He's promised to say something in the future, not! My mother in-law has bad nerves, drinks wine at dinner to calm down and can't handle conflict so I didn't want to start WWIII. I've had enough! You'd think a woman that has stated that she's a strong woman, well educated wouldn't treat a child this way. I'd appreciate any good come backs. My daughter has self-esteem issues and doesn't need this from her aunt. The ole' folks would say that she acts like," Aster on a stick:. What does that mean?

How do I tell my sister in-law at family gatherings to stops making comments to my daughter?
you can say in a nice way "yup, she is tall and slim and can become a model when she is grown". then go hug your daughter as if you are soooooo proud of her. then say "she is lucky she never will have to go on a diet like the rest of us".

don't forget! SMILE sweetly while you are saying this so that she will be caught off guard.

no need to start a WWIII....all you have to do is a little sarcasm with a smile and i tell you.......that will go a long way.

remember that liv tyler was tall and skinny when she was young, so was audry hepburn, julia roberts, faith hill and shania twain....look at them now....beautiful!!!

you can always say " my baby is the liv tyler of our family". then look at your sister-in-law and say "you still haven't gone back to your old body since your baby... you know it gets harder and harder to maintain your old figure after several kids".....

of course, follow it with "i have not been able to go back to my old self, just like you".....that way she will not know if you meant it in a bad way or not.

by the way:

an aster is a flower that has a lot of florets like a daisy; dandelion; goldenrod; marigold; ragweed; sunflower; thistle; zinnia....an aster on a stick, it could mean a.flower like a marigold, something with a big round center that may represent the head and petals around (petal decorating her head) and stuck on a thin twig or stick....maybe someone with a big head and with airs? don't quote me on this cuz i am not sure!
Reply:Id be damned if i let anybody talk to my kids that way i would down her throat so bad she wouldnt dare say another thing.
Reply:I don't know what Aster on a stick means but your best bet is to confront your sister in law about her comments and how they make your daughter feel. Ask her does she entent to continue to call your daughter skinny anymore because that will draw her into a verbal contract acknowledging her boudaries. Then from there you just have to remind your daughter that people hurt others because they are hurting which is why they find the weakest one and pick on them. In essence it means they are severly jealous of the fact that they have to worry about their weight.
Reply:I do not know what "aster on a stick" is but I do know how you feel except it is my mother-in-law always making comments to my 14yr old daughter and my husband is the same as yours. What I have done is taken my mother-in-law aside and told her that I didn't want to start a war with her and I didn't want to hurt her feelings but I did tell her that I will not stand for her to mistreat my daughter even if it was with words and not intentonal. I explained to her what she was saying did hurt my daughters feelings and we both would appreciate it if she thought about things before she said the as not to hurt her grandchilds feelings. She said she wasn't trying to hurt her feelings and she would really try to watch what she said to her.
Reply:You TELL her that you do not appreciate the comments that she is making to your daughter and tell her that she has really hurt your daughter by doing so. You also inform her that you will not tolerate this anymore and then ask her does she understand or do you have to spell it out to her again. If she does it again, then it will be time to open up the whoop a@@ can.
Reply:I'd of gone off on her for talking that way about my kid and would of told her, "She wants her *** on a stick??" That's ok by me, I can stick one up her ***.
Reply:I would try to say something to the sister-in-law before the next time it happens causally. Explain to her that your daughter is approaching puberty and as that is a really confusing time, you'd appreciate it if she would not make comments about her weight or height.

Hopefully once she is aware of that, she'll change her behavior.

As for your mother-in-law, I would keep her out of the discussion, she sounds like she has enough of her own problems.

During prophase, microtubles become attached to each chromatid at its?

A) distal end

B) aster

C) centromere

D) centriole

E) kinetochore

During prophase, microtubles become attached to each chromatid at its?
Dulce was correct. The answer is obviously letter E.

Kinetochores are the attachment site of the microtubules. Since the kinetochore is located in the centromere this is very strategic for cellular division. The pulling of the chromatids is actually a result of the favorable attachment site of the microtubules.

Hope this helps...
Reply:the best answer here would be E. The kinetochore is found on the centromere and is the point of attachment of the microtubules.
Reply:C- centromere

Susanna and Lily (Susanna means "lily")

Dahlia and Daisy

Liana and Rosaline ("climbing vine" and "beautiful rose")

Aster and Acacia (based on the info you added, I like this best)

The drawback to these names is they all make me think of little English girls. Maybe your twins would prefer something associated with their heritage. I'll research more and get back to you. :)

Names used in Ethiopia:

Abeba -- means "flower"

Ayana -- means "beautiful blossom"

Adey -- means "Ethiopian daisy"

Azmere -- means "harvest"

Bilen -- means "iris"

Lalla -- means "tulip"

Sossina -- means "rose"

Zahera -- means "flower"

I think the names Ayana and Zahera would work really well in the U.S., and they would sound cute for twins.

Here is a link to some East African names. If you give your twins an English-sounding first name, perhaps you could consider one of these as middle names:

Can someone give me an idea of what the difference is between studying Divinity and Religious Studies?

Is studying Divinity studying to be a minister whereas as Religious Studies is simply learning about religion of whatever kind you're studying? Also, is it true that most ministers need a doctorate or at least a aster's in Divinity before they can become ministers? So, besides going on to get your master's, what could you do with a Bachelor's of Divinity? Thanks for your help!

Can someone give me an idea of what the difference is between studying Divinity and Religious Studies?
A "Master of Divinity" degree (M.Div.) is handed out by most protestant and some Roman Catholic seminaries, all with the idea of preparing candidates to enter pastoral ministries. The curriculum is not well regulated, so it is not absolutely certain what each degree represents in courses of study. However, there are accrediting bodies for many seminaries among mainline protestant churches, and you may find some benefits of attending a seminary whose curriculum is subject to regular review.

The Bachelor of Divinity is offered by only a few schools in the US, although there are some in the United Kingdom and south Asia. (It used to be the standard degree offered by seminaries, but that has now gone the way of the dinosaur.)

In order to gain entrance into a master's program, you will need a bachelor's degree. I majored in Religion in college before going to Seminary, so I had a leg up on the courses offered in the graduate program. Other courses offered only in seminary included pastoral counseling, church management, ethics for pastors, hermeneutics, etc.

Reply:You've pretty much got it right. Depending on the denomination, a Master's of Divinity (MDiv) is usually required to become an ordained minister. Doctorates are just gravy, not required. A Master's of Theological (or Religious) Studies (MTS) would be useful if you were going for a PhD, in order to teach Religion and Philosophy or something along those lines. A Bachelor's degree, in these fields, is simply a stepping-stone, nothing more.

Rant o' the day: At most Divinity Schools, an MDiv is, at minimum, an 81-hour program. That's 81 hours at graduate schools prices. At Southern Methodist University, for example, you can get an MBA with 45 hours, and start making $60,000; an MDiv takes 81 hours (at the same cost per hour), and you start out making maybe $32,000. And churches wonder why they have trouble attracting ministers.

.
Reply:As far as I have seen, a Masters in Divinity is a degree for working in the ministry. It is a requirement in most Protestant denominations to be ordained to ministry. Religious studies is as you say, a study of themes in religion, not a vocational degree.

There is no Bachelor's in Divinity with the same authority or use in vocation ministry work that I have seen.

Ath
Reply:Yeah your right about the difference.

Most companies appreciate most graduates regardless of what their major may be. So a bachelor of divinity may do a wide range of occupations from jounalism to sales and retail and education.

More Flower Orders

They want tulips, roses,

lily of the valley.

They're ordering carnations

and daisies, chrysanthemums too.

I gotta get them there-they need them,

to cover up the grief-

they say it'll be none too soon.

They want sweet william,

to sweeten the pain

that only yesterday wasn't there

They want asters, they want mums-

they want forget-me-nots, and orchids

oh please will it help this despair?

I'll get in my truck

and deliver the goods

these flowers to lay on the lawn

and as I do,

I'll certainly pray

for a griefless, flowerless dawn.

Are asters perrienials?
Hi. Yes, they are. I have the 'Monch' variety. It's blueish purple and blooming now. The plant tag says it's hardy in zones 5 to 9.

I've really enjoyed this little plant. It's been pretty easy to grow.

For more info here's a link to Better Homes and Garden's plantfinder. It should take you straight to "Aster."

For how long files will be saved on the server?

is it true that if u work in a company where there is a server , someone in the company with its password will be able to view your personal emails and even he can read your passwords and not only see the asters + all the files you have opened on the internet. And for how long my files will be saved on the server (work in the company is not that much, which means the server will not be full in a short period of time). Is there a way that files can be deleted from the server?

For how long files will be saved on the server?
Yes, it is true.

The computer administrator for the company you work at usually has the ability to see EVERYTHING YOU DO.

In fact, at a good portion of the companies, it's part of their job duties to actually "audit" user activity.

The thing is. You are at work. You shouldn't be using the WORK time for personal activity, or for storing PERSONAL files, or visiting non work related websites.

If you are doing your JOB, then you shouldn't have anything to worry about.

Most companies I know think of data as precious, so they don't have a "file purge" system in place. They may have an ARCHIVAL system, where files older than say, 3 years are backed up to an external system, then removed from the server. But, if you are downloading things at work that you aren't supposed to be downloading, the best thing to do is STOP DOING IT.

To the guy who said this :

"Now if you are accessing a web email such as Yahoo email...then no...they can not see that."

Yes, they can. any data that comes through the network is visible to an administrator. (if he wants to see it, that is) with programs such as realVNC, I can even watch what a person is doing, - where they are moving their mouse, if they are playing solitaire, etc..

I can also TAKE OVER a computer system, and use it as if I was sitting at it, even from another facility.

There are a ton of other programs which do this.

Reply:Really depends on your company's policy.
Reply:Within a network users are given rights....some of them are given only reading writes which means they can't save anything...some oare given read/write rights which means they can save things to the server. I have found that if I create a document I can delete it from the server but I can not delete anyone elses documents. The network administrator has ALL rights which means he can view anything on the server. I'm not sure if that includes emails.....but he is probably the one that asigned your password to begin with. There is always a chance that information shared on a server can be viewed by the administrator....it is good practice to only have work things on work computers....Now if you are accessing a web email such as Yahoo email...then no...they can not see that.

What do you think of these girls names?

I'm not expecting but me and my boyfriend are just thinking about names for the future! What do you think of these:

Lily May

Aster Joyce

Neve/Niamh

Lula

Abbey

Sadie

Eden

Marisa

Demi

Cassandra

What do you think of these girls names?
Lily May - Lily is lovely, but I'd avoid pairing it with a month. Tends to be a bit phrasey, if you follow (though not as bad as May Lily would be). ;) If you love it with May, however, perhaps use something less literal, such as Lilian, Liliana, Lilith or Lilias May, with Lily as a short form. Just a thought. ;)

Aster Joyce - I absolutely love Aster (always a favorite!), but find the combo overall a bit "hissy." Perhaps simply Aster Joy or, if it's simply the meaning you like, Aster Gwyneth.

Neve/Niamh - Gorgeous. Definitely one of my favorite names out there, and I'd stick with traditional Niamh. Besides finding it more visually appealing, Neve just doesn't seem to solve any possible pronunciation problems anyway (especially given Neve Campbell's popularity, since she does not say her name NEEV). And since it is so short, after all, one simple correction will generally be enough for most people. It's not all that difficult to remember. ;)

Lula - love it as a nickname for Talulla, Lucille or some other "Lu" name, but find it a bit juvenile on its own. Nearly-identical Lola has a slightly more mature feel, if it's simply the sound that appeals. I do love Lula as well, however. I'd just likely give her a more formal given name. ;)

Abbey - I actually don't care for Abby (any spelling), though I realize it's quite a popular nickname at the moment. Always reminds me of the stomach muscles, I'm afraid. LOL

Sadie - quite like Sadie. I do find it a bit informal, so I'd probably personally use it as a nickname for Sara(h), Sarita, Sarina, Serafina, Talulla (which has a similar "princess" meaning, as it happens), etc., but I actually don't mind this as a given name either. Like Lola, which itself originated as a pet form, I find Sadie distinct enough from original Sarah to stand on its own merit. Hopefully you follow. ;)

Eden - not my style. Too predictable for my taste, and it tends to come across as a somewhat insubstantial choice. More along the lines of the literal word Heaven than a strong Biblical name like Naomi, if that makes sense.

Marisa - a fine name, but I find it a bit dated. Perhaps I knew too many in the 80s. ;)

Demi - it COULD be a lovely choice, but bear in mind that this one is very associated with the actress. Perhaps consider using it as a nickname, so she has a less "Hollywood" option should she ever want one. Demetria, Desdemona, Demelza, Decima or even similar Dema, for example.

Cassandra - a solid, historic choice that would manage to both stand out (in full form) or blend in (with all the little "Cassies" out there at the moment). If that's what you're aiming for, certainly a great option.

Lovely list, by the way. Nice to see a few less common options considered. ;)
Reply:Marisa is the best. All the others i dont like
Reply:I don't really like the 2nd or 3rd one but the rest are nice.

Reply:My favorite on the list is Eden.
Reply:I like Cassandra.

Lily is nice. Lily May feels a bit hick. Speaking of, Holly Golightly's character in Breakfast at Tiffany's was born Lula Mae - and something of a hick. I'm not sure about Lula ... it's awfully close to Lola. It would be a cute nickname for Tallulah.

Neve/Niamh is great, too.
Reply:I love Lily May, Niamh (DO NOT SPELL IT NEVE), Abbey. My fave girls name ever is Isabella!!! (I wondor why! LOL!)

What is the best put down you ever heard of ?

Lady Aster to W Churchill:- Sir you are drunk.

W Churchill to Lady Aster :- You are ugly madam but in the morning I shall be sober.

What is the best put down you ever heard of ?
The best one I've actually heard was an older guy at a club hitting on a young girl. He said "Where have you been all my life?"

She said "I wasn't born for most of it."
Reply:Black girl, talking to her friend about a guy who asked her out: 'I'd rather eat a rat than date him'!
Reply:feminist to man holding door open for her"i hope you not holding the door open because i am a woman?"man replies! "oh no madam it is becase i am a gentleman"
Reply:Sorry, it wasn't Lady Astor. It was in the House of Commons.

Churchill peered over his whiskey glass and said to Bessie Braddock who was MP for a Liverpool Constituency, 'Mrs. Braddock, you are ugly.' To which Mrs. Braddock replied, 'and you, Sir are drunk.'

The answer from Churchill was, 'That may be so, Madam, but in the morning I'll be sober.' (And there was no guarantee of that)

The best put down I ever heard was when my 16 year old daughter came back to Switzerland for a skiing holiday. We were with a group of friends and in the train she was sitting next to a rather small Australian guy, who hadn't seen her for a couple of years. When the train stopped, they both stood up and the Aussie said, 'You're bigger than me, now.' My daughter looked down at him and replied, 'I've always been bigger than you.' Time for Mum to curl up and want to die.
Reply:when I was teaching school I heard another teacher say

"Honey, your mama lets you do that because she loves you. Now, I'm not your mama am I?

Same teacher also told a male student (one she got along with quite well) who was sagging:

*Shanquell*, pull them britches up cause if they fall down everybody's going to find out you're not half the man you claim to be!!
Reply:Where have you been all my life

I wasn't born for most of it
Reply:dennis h had my best put down i ever heard
Reply:I wonder what she replied to that?
Reply:I like this one.... Did your parents ever ask you to run away from home?

Also..

I never forget a face, but in your case I'll be glad to make an exception.

Reply:A customer in the pub I work in was always saying to me "I'm going to have you, you know I will" so I told him " the only way our bodily fluids will ever mix is if I spit in your beer" He leaves me alone now.
Reply:When my 4 year old grand daughter tells me go to your office pa pa. After teasing her a little.my wife users her line now.
Reply:I wrote an award winning novel , the hero being based upon a gorgeous guy in my social circle and my sister's reaction was 'you wrote the novel because you couldn't f*ck him' and i said 'if all the girls who wanted to do him but did not , wrote a novel, everybody we know would be a writer, duh'
Reply:Thats one of my faves, the Lady Astor/Churchill one. Old "Winnie" was a master of the witty retort.

My other half, when someone is boasting, always says "What do you want, a medal or a chest to pin it on?" lol
Reply:Wasn't Churchill also the one credited with asking the girl if she would sleep with him for like $1000 and she said yes. So he said how about for $10 and she said what type of lady do you think I am. So he told her Ma'am we already established what TYPE of lady you are, I'm just trying to establish the price.

Nothing like the classics.
Reply:you are smarter than you look
Reply:Guy who was hitting on my friend: Will you gimme head?

My friend: No, sorry, I choke on small objects

I was laughing for about half an hour

Reply:Once, long ago, when I was in college my friends and I were sitting around drinking beer, listening to music and smoking cigarettes. A friend from France was there, but he was trying to quit smoking and was nervous and fidgety. Someone asked him what was wrong and he said, "I'm nervous.....I need something to put in my mouth!" I said, "Hey, I got something you can put in your mouth!" He responded with, "No, I mean something big.....like a cigarette!" That was 20 years ago and it remains the best comeback I've ever heard, even though it was on me....

Reply:I know somebody who said to a Jewish person who was annoying her, "If it wasnt for people like me you'd be a bar of soap."
Reply:I love this one, havn't managed to use it myself yet tho.

The only reason he has a brain is to stop his head caving in
Reply:Winston Churchill at a rally, was being heckled by a woman in the audience. She shouted,"If you were my husband,I would put poison in your tea."

To which Churchill replied,"Madam,if I was your husband,I would drink the tea."
Reply:During argument on familyguy
