I am going to Japan at the end of the month (from Australia) and I am going to Tokyo, Kyoto and Hiroshima.
I have my travel plans booked and I was wondering if anyone has stayed at any of these following Hotels
TOKYO: Tokyo International Youth Hostel. Its in Shinjuku (Tokyo Suburb)
KYOTO: K's House. In Shimogu-ku???
HIROSHIMA: Aster Plaza.
I am just asking for a mini review if you have been here or if your friends have been here???
Thanks

Japanese Hotels?
Tokyo International Youth Hostel, wow i havent been there in like forever! It was very lovely though, the people were super nice and really polite. To be honest I have also never stayed in a cleaner hotel thn any of the ones i stayed at in Tokyo. Deffinately a nice break from what I have gone through in other places. I would reccomened learning a few phrases though, to show an effort to learn the culture. Trust me, the response you get is worth it. Also before you do anything that may offend smeone make sure you get the proper advice on tipping customs and so forth. Little things matter alot. They are a very honorable people, and so long as you respect their customs, they are also very friendly and out going, willing to help however they can. I hope you have a wonderful trip, please tell us about it when you get back.
Reply:I was there earlier this year. I stayed at the Dotonburi in Osaka. It is right by the Korean Consulate near the main subway station for Osaka. The hotel was excellent - about 45 USD for the night. The breakfast was a buffet and about 10 or 15 dollars. If you go to Osaka go to Osaka Castle - its amazing - really big with a huge moat bigger than I have ever seen. There are lots of stores and entertainment.
Reply:Wow...You found very cheap but nice hotels!
You should take some pictures, bring some brochures back and report how was them after you'd come back to your country.

Reply:I don't know if you mean the youth hostel in Idabashi or the one in Yoyogi. I've stayed at them both and they are both good. The Idabashi one is in a high-rise and very modern. The Yoyogi one is in the former athlete's village from the Tokyo Olympics, but has been renovated very nicely.
