What is the differnce between asters and spindle fibers?

Plants don't have aster/centrioles, but they use spindle fibers to pull the sister chromatids apart?? I don't unterstand this.

What is the differnce between asters and spindle fibers?
The spindle poles are organized by non-centriole-bearing material. The chromosomes use energy to move along the spindle towards the poles. The asters do not help the chromosomes separate, they just help the poles separate, but in plants this function of the asters is either not needed, or is done by some other complexes lacking centrioles.
